The Berlin Circus

The debut collection features 15 artworks exploring the absurd beauty of nightlife, hedonism, and identity.

Moritz Danner

is a Berlin-based artist whose work captures the emotional absurdity of nightlife and modern identity. As the founder of the iconic fashion label NAKT, he spent nearly a decade immersed in Berlin’s subculture, a world of raves, sex parties, fashion, and freedom. Those years shaped his perspective. Now, he transforms that experience into art.

His paintings are loud, direct, and full of tension, told through a deliberately naïve, childlike visual language. Each figure is a character pulled from the edge of reason: emotional extremes, hedonistic highs, quiet collapses.

Danner paints the contradictions we live in. The masks we wear.

And the strange beauty of staying wild.

My work stands for emotional truth, radical freedom, and the beauty hidden in contradiction. It embraces chaos, discomfort, and absurdity. Each piece is a mirror: playful, raw, and sometimes painfully real. A reminder to stay wild, stay weird, and keep playing.
